Kejohanan Merentas Desa
Kejohanan Merentas Desa SMK Seri Gading Kali Ke-39 telah berlangsung pada jam 9.00 pagi hari Khamis, 16 Januari 2020. Kejohanan yang bertemakan 'Prodigious Agility' atau 'Ketangkasan Unggul' ini melibatkan semua warga SEGA dan telah dijuarai oleh pasukan Universiti Sains Malaysia atau Rumah Oren.
Terdapat enam kategori yang dipertandingkan bagi Kejohanan Merentas Desa ini iaitu:
- Lelaki A: 17-16 tahun - Trek 8 KM
- Perempuan A: 17-16 tahun - Trek 4.5 KM
- Lelaki B: 15-14 tahun - Trek 6 KM
- Perempuan B: 15-14 tahun - Trek 4.5 KM
- Lelaki C: 13 tahun - Trek 6 KM
- Perempuan C: 13 tahun - Trek 4.5 KM
Berikut adalah senarai pemenang bagi setiap kategori bersama masa yang dicatat:
- Lelaki A: Muhamad Ainul Wafiy bin Mohd Fauzi (20.00 min) Pasukan UPM (HIJAU)
- Perempuan A: Aini Farhana binti Mohd Shukor (21:58) Pasukan UKM (MERAH)
- Lelaki B: Nur Aiman Shah bin Marhalim (17.04 min) Pasukan UM (UNGU)
- Perempuan B: Nur Qistina Najwa binti Asmarashid (18:46) Pasukan UPM (HIJAU)
- Lelaki C: Harith Muzzaffar bin Mohd Yazdi (18.48 min) Pasukan USM (OREN)
- Perempuan C: Siti Murnilyana binti Mazlan (20.45) Pasukan UTHM (KUNING)
Pertandingan Sukantara
Manakala pada 20-21 Januari 2020, sebuah pertandingan sukantara telah diadakan bagi tiga acara bagi setiap kategori iaitu balapan 100m, lontar peluru dan lompat jauh. Saringan kelayakan dilaksanakan bagi setiap acara dengan matlamat untuk mengumpul mata bagi setiap rumah sukan.
Pemilihan atlet bagi mewakili rumah sukan dalam Kejohanan Balapan dan Padang serta Acara Sukan Kecil turut dilaksanakan oleh guru ketua-ketua rumah sukan.
Berikut adalah kedudukan dan kutipan mata/markah keseluruhan bagi Pertandingan Sukantara:
- Johan: Pasukan USM (OREN): 413 mata
- Ke-2 : Pasukan UTHM (KUNING): 394 mata
- Ke-3 : Pasukan UPM (HIJAU) 384 mata
- Ke-4 : Pasukan UTM (BIRU) 350 mata
- Ke-5 : Pasukan UPM (MERAH) 319 mata
- Ke-6 : Pasukan UM (UNGU) 304 mata
Sepanjang pelaksanaan kedua-dua acara mega ini, semua warga SEGA, terutama para pelajar telah menunjukkan semangat kesukanan dan juang yang amat tinggi dan terpuji. Walaupun terdapat kekangan cuaca yang tidak menentu, sorakan serta kegirangan pelajar tidak luntur. Semoga usaha murni warga SEGA untuk menyemai kesedaran dalam kepentingan sukan bagi meningkatkan kecemerlangan murid diberkati dan dirahmatiNya. Inshallah.

Cross Country Tournament
SMK Seri Gading's 39th Cross Country Tournament had been conducted at 9.00 a.m. on Thursday, the 16th of January 2020. The tournament with the theme of 'Prodigious Agility' had involved all the teachers and students of SEGA. It was won by the University of Science, Malaysia or the Orange sports house.
Overall, there were six categories contested in the Cross Country Tournament:
- Male category A: 17-16 years - 8 KM track
- Female category A: 17-16 years - 4.5 KM track
- Male category B: 15-14 years - 6 KM track
- Female category B: 15-14 years - 4.5 KM track
- Male category C: 13 years - 6 KM track
- Female category C: 13 years - 4.5 KM track
The following are the winners for each category:
- M-A: Muhamad Ainul Wafiy bin Mohd Fauzi (20.00 mins) UPM (GREEN)
- F-A: Aini Farhana binti Mohd Shukor (21:58 mins) UKM (RED)
- M-B: Nur Aiman Shah bin Marhalim (17.04 mins) UM (PURPLE)
- F-B: Nur Qistina Najwa binti Asmarashid (18:46 mins) UPM (GREEN)
- M-C: Harith Muzzaffar bin Mohd Yazdi (18.48 mins) USM (ORANGE)
- F-C: Siti Murnilyana binti Mazlan (20.45 mins) UTHM (YELLOW)
Pre-sport (Qualifying rounds)
Meanwhile, on the 20th-21st of January, the Pre-Sport events or the qualifying rounds were conducted for three events of each categories. The categories are 100m sprint, long jump, and shot put throw. The qualifying rounds are meant to collect points for each sports house.
Athlete selection to represent the sports house in the upcoming school's Sports Championship i.e. Tracks and Field events is also conducted by the head of the sports house.
The following are the points collected by the sports houses throughout:
- 1st place: USM (ORANGE): 413 points
- 2nd place: UTHM (YELLOW): 394 points
- 3rd place: UPM (GREEN) 384 points
- 4th place: UTM (BLUE) 350 points
- 5th place: UPM (RED) 319 points
- 6th place: UM (PURPLE) 304 points
Throughout these mega events, all SEGARIANS, especially the students, has exhibited admirable sportsmanship and high spirit. Despite the unfavourable weather conditions, the students' great excitement and spirit did not fade. May our sincere efforts to inculcate awareness on the importance of sports in enhancing students' holistic excellence is blessed. May Allah ease.
